The present module will dive into the subject of project management, which is the application of skills, tools and techniques to carry out specific goals, under certain specification and limits and in a given period of time.
We will start by breaking down and contrasting the concepts of project and process. Then we will tackle the different stages of project management, starting with the initiation phase. This includes stating the motives for our specific undertaking, which are its goals, and the reason why we want to achieve it. Afterwards we will examine every stage of the PM process: the early stages, the execution, the monitoring and controlling process, and the closure phase. Along the way, you will learn how to draw the project charter, establish how much you should plan, manage teams, make an impact analysis and create the project life cycle.
Finally, we will address risk management, which includes carrying out a SWOT analysis, identify risks, and learning the different ways to deal with them and with opportunities.
